Wow.This video of Republican San Diego mayor Jerry Sanders describing his personal change of heart on the issue of same-sex marriage actually moved me to tears. I was completely caught off guard by it. It may be the most honest, most basically human argument made in defense of equality for gays I have ever seen from an elected official.
